Swann Security introduces its new SportsCam waterproof mini video camera, which is going to be showcased at the CES 2011. The SportsCam is basically a mini camcorder housed in a rugged, shockproof, waterprooof case. It is waterproof up to 65 feet.
The Swann SportsCam records 640×480 video and captures still images. It comes with a myriad of mounting options, such as Velcro straps, double clipper, sport-clip, multi-clip, so outdoor enthusiasts can live and relive their most extreme moments. The camcorder stores recordings on microSD card (up to 16GB) amd a 16GB MicroSD card is enough for about 5 hours of video.
The SportsCam is powered by a Lithium-ion battery that recharges via USB and gives the user 2.5 hours of life per charge. It will be available in February for $99.
